Teacher Scholarships Available! Have fun, learn, and get CEUs…

We are so pleased to offer full scholarships for North Carolina high school teachers to attend JASP 2015 on “Emma at 200.”   If you are interested in attending, please write a short description of how this experience will enhance your classroom teaching.  Don’t be discouraged from applying if you have never taught Austen before.  We welcome Austen newbies as well!     This notice isn’t totally clear to me. Are the picnic & Mourning talk at the same time, or is the picnic mentioned on the schedule for Friday the 13th

    1:00 – 2:30 Lunch on own; optional box lunches for picnic luncheon with kites, battledore, and shuttlecock for period entertainment (outside Combe Magna). or is it the on Saturday June 14th same time as :

    12:15 – 1:45 Lunch on own; optional box lunches for talk on “Mourning in the time of Jane Austen” Ruth Frans (Regency Assembly of North Carolina) (Norland)

    The picnic is on Friday and the Mourning talk is on Saturday. They both coincide with lunchtime and if you want to attend them, you might want to consider ordering a boxed lunch…
