The Sense and Sensibility Vlog Series: History of the Novel

Welcome back, dear readers, to the Sense and Sensibility vlog series! My co-hosts and I sincerely hope you enjoy this episode breaking down the history of the novel, its relationship to the rest of Jane Austen's literary output, and the nineteenth-century literary marketplace. Highlights include animated discussions on delusional teenage crushes, Maizie's experience performing in a Sense and Sensibility musical adaptation, and of course, a fangirling session over Hugh Grant's exceptionally handsome countenance in the 1990s.

If you missed our introductory video last week, you can check it out here on the Jane Austen Summer Program's YouTube channel. We'll see you again next Tuesday, April 29, for another episode. In the meantime, happy viewing!
