The bonnet can make the woman

By Jennifer Abella

The Jane Austen Summer Program has started, and the emporium is in full swing. Danielle Perry of Timely Tresses has created lovely bonnets based on the characters from “Mansfield Park.” Some are based on fashion plates of the period.  Here’s a peek. Don’t miss seeing Perry’s creations!

Maria’s, left, is delicately trimmed. Fanny’s is simple yet pretty.
Lady Bertram’s has a veil, so she can sleep, Perry jokes.
Mary’s is bold and stylish.
Julia’s is trimmed in green since she’s “green with envy,” Perry says.
Mrs. Norris’s is stern and black.
Ribbons for days at Timely Tresses’ table….
Feathers galore.
